PENANG: Penang Pakatan Harapan chairman cum chief minister Chow Kon Yeow said Barisan Nasional would get to defend its two existing state assembly seats in the coming state election.

He said the DAP central committee decided yesterday that the party which won the last election would get to defend its seats.

“The secretary-general has reiterated that all seat negotiations would be based on the principle of consultation, in which a seat would go back to the party which last won it.”

However, he said seats that were not won by PH in the last election would be open for negotiation.
