PENANG: The owner of Seng Thor Coffee Shop says if his posting of the picture of an old man has caused public frustration, he is prepared to clarify and apologize.

The owner Mr. Lim told Sin Chew Daily this morning that he thinks this is just a small matter and it is therefore unnecessary for social media users to overreact.

He said he had already apologized to the old man as well as the public before closing the coffee shop’s Facebook account.

He also said there was no need for him to cook up this issue to boost the shop’s business.

“We have been in business for 71 years. Most of our customers are regulars and tourists. We don’t need to do this for publicity!”
