KUALA LUMPUR: The Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia Member of Parliament for Tasek Gelugor Wan Saiful Wan Jan has decided to resign as the party’s information chief.

However, he said in a media conference that he would remain as a member of Bersatu’s supreme council.

He also said he had notified party president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin of his decision, adding that he would discuss with Muhyiddin his next course of action.

Meanwhile, Muhyiddin said he had met Wan Saiful and had accepted the latter’s resignation as information chief.

However, he insisted that this did not mean Wan Saiful was guilty in the Jana Wibawa case.
