Nazri: I don’t do it for money…

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz, who has just been appointed Malaysia’s ambassador to the United States, said he was prepared to emulate Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim not to take any salary.

He said he did not take up the post because of money. However, he said he would not decline if the government insists to pay him.

He told Utusan Malaysia that he did not need the salary to become the ambassador to the United States, as he felt the government  had offered him the post because there was an important mission entrusted to him.

“I’m no longer a politician and money is not the main thing now!”
