KUALA LUMPUR: The Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF) Scholarship Program 2023 is open for Malaysians to apply for master’s and doctorate studies in English.
Malaysian students can pursue a specified master’s or doctorate Degree program at one of the 20 universities in Taiwan beginning September 2023.
There are a total of 22 master’s programs and three doctorate programs available for the scholarship application to further implement its dual language policy in Taiwan.
TaiwanICDF provides each scholarship recipient a full scholarship including return airfare, housing, tuition and credit fees, insurance, textbook costs and monthly allowances.
Master’s program students receive a monthly living subsidy of RM2,100 while doctorate program students receive RM2,400.
Pang King Hoe, deputy president of the Federation of Alumni Associations of Taiwan Universities, Malaysia, and the education division of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Kuala Lumpur held a press conference to announce the scholarships.
Pang said young Malaysians are encouraged to pursue their dreams in Taiwan, which provides an excellent learning environment.
The scholarships offer a wide range of courses in management, agriculture, public health, hospitality, food and beverage as well as innovation.
Applicants are welcome to apply for the scholarship online and send the required documents via registered mail to Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia before March 15.
