KUALA LUMPUR: Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan proposed that Pakatan Harapan and Perikatan Nasional — the two political camps winning the most parliamentary seats in the recent 15th general election — form the new federal government.

He said Barisan Nasional should be prepared to be opposition playing the role of checks and balances.

“We accept the people’s decision to reject Barisan Nasional.

“We have no right to form the new government.”
