PUTRAJAYA: Former prime minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad will seek re-election in Langkawi in the upcoming 15th general election.

The Parti Pejuang Tanah Air chairman also announced in a press conference today that the party’s president Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir would defend his Gurun parliamentary seat.

Mahathir said Gerakan Tanah Air would contest more than 100 parliamentary seats under the Pejuang banner in the election, excluding Johor and Sabah.

He also said negotiation with Perikatan Nasional was still ongoing, as there were still issues to be resolved.
