BALING: Hong Kong veteran actor Kenneth Tsang, who was found dead inside a quarantine hotel in Hong Kong on Wednesday, was visiting small towns in Malaysia merely ten days ago.

He was 86.

It was reported that Tsang had just returned to Hong Kong from Singapore on Monday (April 25) and was undergoing the seven-day quarantine at a hotel in Tsim Tsa Tsui.

On April 16, he was spotted by fans at Kong Heng Restaurant in Baling, Kedah, famous for its charcoal-grilled pipa duck.

Kong Heng Restaurant owner Liu Ai Yu wept when she learned of Tsang’s death.

She could not believe that her favorite star had passed on.

“He was at our restaurant just ten days ago. This was so sudden.

“We were grateful to him. His presence has brought many people to our restaurant,” she said.

Liu, a fan of Tsang, said she grew up watching his movies.

Tsang was also spotted by fans in Kemaman, Terengganu, where Malaysian couple Nong and his wife saw the movie star at an Indian restaurant on April 15.

Tsang was with some friends, but left the Indian restaurant as he did not like spicy food, said Nong.

“He looked good despite using a walking stick,” said Nong, who posted photos of Tsang on social media after seeing him at the restaurant on April 15.

Tsang was also spotted at a coffee factory in Kluang, where he took a photo with the factory’s manager.
