KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 9 (Sin Chew Daily) — Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department director Datuk Mat Kasim Karim said the police were forced to shut down the MyBayar Saman website due to a surge of users within a short period of time, causing to system to be down.

He said the website would be back after system optimization so that members of the public can settle their traffic summonses online and enjoy the discounts offered.

Mat Kasim told Sin Chew Daily the website would be taken down for maintenance between 11.30 pm tonight and 12.00 midnight.

He also said payment counters at all state police headquarters and police district headquarters would operate from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. from now until December 12, while the MyBayar Saman website is operational round the clock.

He urged the public not to flock to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center traffic police counter to settle their compounds, as all payment counters at police stations, police headquarters and state police headquarters will also stay open on Saturday and Sunday, in addition to online payment.

Members of the public can visit the MyBayar Saman website and enjoy the discount promotion.
