KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 29 (Sin Chew Daily) – Health minister Khairy Jamaluddin has confirmed that a positive COVID-19 case was detected on the first day of VTL (Vaccinated Travel Lanes) implementation.
From what we understand, the case was detected at the VTL land crossing in Johor Bahru.
The first bus departing from Singapore’s Queen Street arrived at Larkin bus terminal in Johor Bahru with 45 passengers onboard.
The passenger testing positive during the screening tests upon arrival was subsequently sent to COVID-19 quarantine center.
In a tweet, the health minister emphasized that this was why screening tests must be carried out pre-departure and upon arrival.
