KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 2 (Sin Chew Daily) -– Umno supreme council will hold a special meeting tomorrow afternoon, and party president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is expected to issue an explicit "black and white" statement whether Umno will support prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

An Umno source told Sin Chew Daily Ahmad Zahid will host a press conference after the meeting to make an official announcement.

"Wait until tomorrow. We are not overthrowing the PM, but withdrawing our support for him. It will be in black and white this time!"

Meanwhile, Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan tweeted today that the party's supreme council will hold a special online meeting at 4.00p.m. tomorrow.

He said among the issues to be discussed are the current political situation in the country as well as Istana Negara's media statement and the King's letter.

"We will also talk about the emergency decree, the emergency ordinances and the deferment of today's parliamentary sitting."
