PUTRAJAYA, June 22 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 4,743 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including two imported cases.

Selangor reported 1,566 new cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (635), Negeri Sembilan (585), Sarawak (507), Johor (239), Penang (195), Sabah (193), Melaka (167), Kelantan (165), Kedah (142), Pahang (131) and Labuan (104).

To date there are a cumulative total of 705,762 confirmed cases and 639,181 recoveries (including 5,557 discharged today) at 90.57% recovery rate.

77 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 4,554.

There are currently 62,027 active cases, including 875 at ICUs, 445 requiring ventilators.
