PUTRAJAYA, May 25 (Sin Chew Daily) – Record 7,289 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including four imported cases.

Selangor reported 2,642 new cases, followed by Johor (664), Kuala Lumpur (604), Sarawak (513), Kelantan (425), Negeri Sembilan (410), Penang (380), Kedah (336), Terengganu (268), Sabah (266), Melaka (258), Perak (218) and Pahang (211).

To date there are a cumulative total of 525,889 confirmed cases and 460,062 recoveries (including 3,789 discharged today) at 87.48% recovery rate.

60 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 2,369.

There are currently 63,458 active cases, including 726 at ICUs, 373 requiring ventilators.
