China believes in the United Nations (UN). Having met President Putin more than 30 times since President Xi Jin Ping was the leader of China in 2011, which in 2018, all terms limits on President Xi Jin Ping were removed, President Xi is the firmest leader in the world.
By earning the trust and friendship of President Putin; especially when President Joe Biden referred to President Putin openly as a "Killer", most recently, the US's animosity against Russia can only make Moscow and Beijing closer.
The word "Killer" is somewhat outlandish, as it sounds almost exactly like former Soviet First Secretary of Nikita Khrushchev at the Polish embassy in Warsaw on November 18 1956, when he said: "We shall bury you!"
The speech prompted 12 envoys of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and Israel to leave the reception. American public, however saw it a "nuclear threat".
Be that as it may, on August 24, 1963, at the invitation of General Tito of Yugoslavia, Nikita Khrushchev explained, "I once said 'We shall bury you,' and got into all kinds of troubles. What I meant was the 'proletariat' (the working class' shall be be the ones to bury America." That was Communism 101. Nikita Khrushchev was not being conceited or deceitful, if you do not take care of the welfare of the workers, the people shall rise up to destroy Capitalism; since Capitalism has already enriched the few against the many.
Despite what Francis Fukuyama once said, that Communism has met "the end of history," a short essay he first penned in the Forbes in 1989 — the one magazine that celebrates the power of Capitalism without any apology — Communism, when moderated, is "Socialism with Chinese characteristics". Look at how China has prospered when China takes what Confucius calls "the Middle Road" (Chung Yung).
On Uyghur issue in Xinjiang, if China wants to ensure that this province remains under the firm control of the Chinese Communist Party, follow the best case practice of Esquel in Hong Kong shown by Margie Yang. Margie Yang established 3 factories in Malaysia. Two in Penang, one in Kelantan.
Although Shanghainese by origin, she is known as the Princess of Xinjiang, for her local contribution to Xinjiang. She was doing something equal to "winning the hearts and minds of the locals." She wants to show that Uyghurs, Kazaks and Kygyz in Xinjiang, together with the Han Chinese, not unlike Muslims, Christians, Buddhists and Hindus in Malaysia, or, Indonesia, can work together.
Had it not for the pandemic, her three factories in Malaysia would still be around. And, Esquel has the excellent record of paying their workers 2.5 to 3 times higher than the local wages. This is a firm that could work well with China and the West since 1979.
“Wolf Warriors" is a movie. How can a big office movie become the face of Chinese Foreign Policy? President Ronald Reagan was deemed a B Grade movie star. When he took over from President Carter, his goal was to revive the status of US versus Soviet Union. While China is afraid of disintegrating like Soviet Union, how can that analogy be applied?
Chinese has controlled COVID-19. President Xi Jinping has a popularity of almost 90 per cent. Chinese GDP has grown by 400 per cent between 2002-2020. Since China does not have a COVID-19 problem, its rebound in 2021 could reach a phenomenal 18 per cent, the highest ever in the history of great powers.
Former President Donald Trump was often spouting nonsense. He was seen as a "Reality Star". But anyone who has bought a property from him has always complained about the shoddy workmanship. Why did China fall for his taunting? The United Nations (US) was there. To dismiss any suggestions of forced labor, crimes against humanity and Genocide, just grant the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres "Unfettered Access". What is there to fear if the "Wolf Warriors" are indeed true warriors?
