TAIPING, Apr 26 (Sin Chew Daily) — Two Spidermen are selling Roti John at Jalan Stesen here from 4pm to 7pm during the fasting month.
Profit from the sale of Roti John is then used to bake bread which the Spidermen would deliver to the poor.
Hafiz's Roti John sells like hot cakes as the Spidermen attract buyers and children to take pictures with them.

Hafiz, a policeman, is a Spiderman fan. He has a good collection of Spiderman products – outfits, school bags, socks and others.
He mooted the idea of selling Roti John during the fasting month and use the profit to make bread for the poor, as he used to visit slums when he was on duty.
Hafiz said he saw many poor children living in the area and thought of delivering bread to feed them.
Some families fed their babies with porridge water as they did not have money to buy milk powder.
In the past, he used to bring food with him whenever he was visiting the slum area, so that he could give some food to the children, he said.

"I have many patrons who are attracted by the Spiderman attire. Children who follow their parents to buy Roti John love to take pictures with the Spidermen.
"Some of our friends also support us over the years to help the poor. I decide to use the profits made from selling Roti John to bake bread for the poor children," he said.
Hafiz said some patrons also donated coins to him while buying Roti John. Some ordered bread from him to be delivered to the orphanage home when they came to know that he delivered bread to poor children through social media.
The children were happy to see Spidermen delivering bread to them. Some of the photos were shared on Facebook.
Hafiz said helping the poor requires the participation of many. To him, Taiping is a town with many caring people as Malaysians of all races are passionate about helping the poor.
