PUTRAJAYA, Apr 16 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 2,551 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including 29 imported cases.

Sarawak reported 960 new cases, followed by Selangor (590), Kuala Lumpur (245), Kelantan (164), Sabah (143) and Johor (121).

To date there are a cumulative total of 370,528 confirmed cases and 350,563 recoveries (including 1,524 discharged today) at 94.61% recovery rate.

Two new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 1,365.

There are currently 18,600 active cases, including 227 at ICUs, 91 requiring ventilators.
