PETALING JAYA, Apr 6 (Sin Chew Daily) –MySejahtera app users will be informed of their vaccination appointments through push notifications from the app, but what about those registering through the government's official vaccination website?
According to the health ministry's COVID-19 Immunization Task Force (CITF), people who do not use the MySejahtera app and have registered for vaccination through the official website of the Special Committee on COVID-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV), they will receive notifications through SMS messages.
Replying to Sin Chew Daily in an e-mail, CITF said those applying through the JKJAV website will receive SMS notifications 14 days before their appointments on the date, time and venue of vaccination.
"SMS messages will be sent out two weeks before appointment. The applicants must reply either YES or NO to make sure they will attend.
"If their reply is YES, they will receive reminders three days and one day before their appointments."
Prior to this, minister of science, technology and innovation Khairy Jamaluddin has announced that second stage of the national immunization program will start from April 19.
During this stage, senior citizens, disabled individuals, people suffering from chronic illnesses and those in the high risk groups will start receiving notices beginning April 5.
