PUTRAJAYA, Apr 2 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 1,294 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including 26 imported cases.

Selangor reported 455 new cases, followed by Sarawak (217), Penang (139) and Johor (103).

To date there are a cumulative total of 347,972 confirmed cases and 332,443 recoveries (including 1,442 discharged today) at 95.54% recovery rate.

Five new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 1,283.

There are currently 14,246 active cases, including 168 at ICUs, 78 requiring ventilators.
