PUTRAJAYA, Mar 9 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 1,280 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including two imported cases.

Selangor reported 464 new cases, followed by Johor (165), Sarawak (163), Penang (143) and Kuala Lumpur (119).

To date there are a cumulative total of 316,269 confirmed cases and 296,379 recoveries (including 2,345 discharged today) at 93.71% recovery rate.

Nine new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 1,186.

There are currently 18,704 active cases, including 155 at ICUs, 76 requiring ventilators.
