PUTRAJAYA, Feb 9 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 2,764 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including six imported cases.

Selangor reported 862 new cases, followed by Johor (521), Kuala Lumpur (422), Melaka (203), Sabah (180), Penang (119) and Sarawak (111).

To date there are a cumulative total of 248,316 confirmed cases and 196,566 recoveries (including 3,887 discharged today) at 79.2% recovery rate.

13 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 909.

There are currently 50,841 active cases, including 289 at ICUs, 127 requiring ventilators.
