PUTRAJAYA, Feb 4 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 4,571 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including three imported cases.

Selangor reported 2,056 new cases, followed by Johor (664), Kuala Lumpur (481), Sarawak (270), Melaka (238), Sabah (175), Perak (163), Penang (157) and Negeri Sembilan (100).

To date there are a cumulative total of 231,483 confirmed cases and 181,886 recoveries (including 4,092 discharged today) at 78.6% recovery rate.

17 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 826.

There are currently 48,771 active cases, including 308 at ICUs, 135 requiring ventilators.
