PUTRAJAYA, Feb 3 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 4,284 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including six imported cases.

Selangor reported 1,572 new cases, followed by Johor (964), Kuala Lumpur (651), Sabah (190), Sarawak (148), Negeri Sembilan (133), Kedah (124), Penang (122) and Perak (106).

To date there are a cumulative total of 226,912 confirmed cases and 177,794 recoveries (including 3,804 discharged today) at 78.4% recovery rate.

18 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 809.

There are currently 48,309 active cases, including 307 at ICUs, 141 requiring ventilators.
