PUTRAJAYA, Feb 2 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 3,455 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including five imported cases.

Selangor reported 1,145 new cases, followed by Johor (708), Kuala Lumpur (619), Sabah (276), Sarawak (121) and Terengganu (115).

To date there are a cumulative total of 222,628 confirmed cases and 173,990 recoveries (including 3,661 discharged today) at 78.2% recovery rate.

A record 21 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 791.

There are currently 47,847 active cases, including 327 at ICUs, 145 requiring ventilators.
