KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 2 (Sin Chew Daily) – A reliable source told Sin Chew Daily the national security council meeting chaired by prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin this morning had reached a consensus on the standard operating procedures governing Chinese New Year celebrations.

However, an official announcement will only be made next Monday (Feb 8), four days before Chinese New Year, after the details are finalized.

The source did not elaborate on the details pending final decision, but one thing for sure is that the government will not allow travel across state and district borders during the upcoming festive season.
