PUTRAJAYA, Feb 1 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 4,214 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including nine imported cases.

Selangor reported 1,362 new cases, followed by Johor (1,068), Kuala Lumpur (702), Sabah (276), Perak (193), Penang (119) and Sarawak (105).

To date there are a cumulative total of 219,173 confirmed cases and 170,329 recoveries (including 4,280 discharged today) at 77.7% recovery rate.

Ten new deaths were reported, taking the toll to 770.

There are currently 48,074 active cases, including 316 at ICUs, 137 requiring ventilators.
