PUTRAJAYA, Jan 29 (Sin Chew Daily) – A record 5,725 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including seven imported cases.

Selangor reported 3,126 new cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (687), Johor (684) and Sabah (288).

To date there are a cumulative total of 203,933 confirmed cases and 157,722 recoveries (including 3,423 discharged today)..

16 new deaths were reported, taking the toll to 733.

There are currently 45,478 active cases, including 301 at ICUs, 115 requiring ventilators.
