PUTRAJAYA, Jan 20 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 4,008 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including five imported cases.

Selangor reported 1,391 new cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (513), Johor (470), Sabah (406), Sarawak (203), Negeri Sembilan (176), Perak (170), Kedah (142), Melaka (132), Penang (124) and Kelantan (121).

To date there are a cumulative total of 169,379 confirmed cases and 127,662 recoveries (including 2,374 discharged today) at 75.4% recovery rate.

11 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 630.

There are currently 41,087 active cases, including 246 at ICUs, 96 requiring ventilators.
