PUTRAJAYA, Dec 28 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 1,594 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including three imported cases.

Selangor reported the highest number of new cases at 697, followed by Kuala Lumpur (194), Johor (191), Negeri Sembilan (160) and Sabah (157).

To date there are a cumulative total of 106,690 confirmed cases and 85,592 recoveries (including 1,181 discharged today) at 80.2% recovery rate.

Three new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 455.

There are currently 20,643 active cases, including 116 at ICUs, 53 requiring ventilators.
