PUTRAJAYA, Dec 16 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 1,295 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including ten imported cases.

Selangor reported the highest number of cases at 481, followed by Sabah (268), Kuala Lumpur (232) and Johor (105).

To date there are a cumulative total of 87,913 confirmed cases and 72,733 recoveries (including 1,052 discharged today) at 82.7% recovery rate.

Seven new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 429.

There are currently 14.751 active cases, including 113 at ICUs, 53 requiring ventilators.
