PUTRAJAYA, Dec 15 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 1,772 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including 12 imported cases.

Kuala Lumpur and Selangor reported the most cases at 696 and 503 respectively, followed by Sabah (260) and Perak (110).

To date there are a cumulative total of 86,618 confirmed cases and 71,681 recoveries (including 1,084 discharged today) at 82.8% recovery rate.

Three new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 422.

There are currently 14.515 active cases, including 118 at ICUs, 56 requiring ventilators.
