PUTRAJAYA, Dec 10 (Sin Chew Daily) – A record of 2,234 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including five imported cases.

Selangor reported the highest number of new cases at 1,428, followed by Sabah (274), Kuala Lumpur (136), Perak (115) and Johor (100).

To date there are a cumulative total of 78,499 confirmed cases and 66,236 recoveries (including 1,112 discharged today) at 84.4% recovery rate.

Three new deaths were reported, taking the toll to 396.

There are currently 11,867 active cases, including 124 at ICUs, 60 requiring ventilators.
