IPOH, Dec 9 (Sin Chew Daily) – The Perak state legislative assembly sitting will resume at 14:30 this afternoon.

This will be the first time a state assembly sitting is convened in the absence of a state administration.

State assembly speaker Mohamad Zahir Abdul Khalid confirmed with Sin Chew Daily yesterday that the state assembly sitting this afternoon will go on.

According to a reliable source, four state assemblymen from PPBM, three from PAS, one from Gerakan Rakyat and one independent representative have submitted written notices to the Speaker to absent themselves from the sitting, while all Pakatan Harapan representatives are expected to attend.

According to a PH assemblyman, today's sitting will not have any agenda as Perak is in a state of no government at this moment.

It is anticipated that one of the assemblymen will table a motion to infinitely defer the state assembly sitting.
