Ambulances, buses stationed at Klang govt clinics

KLANG, Nov 24 (Sin Chew Daily) – Several designated government clinics in Klang have become collection points to pick up COVID-19 patients nearby before sending them to Hospital Sungai Buloh for treatment.

A Klang social media user took the pictures of at least three ambulances and one big bus parked outside Sugai Bertek government clinic, triggering alarm among nearby residents.

When approached by Sin Chew Daily, Klang municipal councilor Lee Fu Haw confirmed that the ambulances and big buses stationed at government clinics are to pick up patients testing positive for COVID-19 from nearby areas before sending them en masse to Hospital Sungai Buloh on big buses.

"I believe the government clinics at Sungai Bertek and Bandar Botanic serve as collection points for the authorities to ferry COVID-19 patients to the hospital."

He explained that the ambulances would pick up scattered patients from nearby areas to the government clinics used as collection points, before sending them together in a big bus, as it is impossible for the ambulances to pick up every patient and send individually to Hospital Sungai Buloh.
