PUTRAJAYA, Oct 24 (Sin Chew Daily) – A record of 1,228 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including 11 imported cases.

72.4% of the total, or 889 cases, were reported in Sabah.

To date there are a cumulative total of 25,742 confirmed cases and 16,555 recoveries (including 671 discharged today) at 64.31% recovery rate.

Seven new deaths have been reported, taking the toll to 221.

There are currently 8,966 active cases, including 92 at ICUs, 31 requiring ventilators.
