Umno, PPBM to push for snap polls
PETALING JAYA, Oct 23 (Sin Chew Daily) – Several Umno MPs are working with PPBM leaders on the possibility of holding a snap election.
Free Malaysia Today reported that both sides were looking at having the polls after significant drops in COVID-19 cases in the country, quoting sources.
It said PPBM was happy with the ceasefire and the Perikatan Nasional government might appoint an Umno leader as deputy prime minister.
It also said the PN coalition decided on the ceasefire with the understanding polls would be held soon.
