PUTRAJAYA, Oct 22 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 847 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including five imported cases.

Sabah reported the highest number of new cases at 578, followed by Selangor (137), Negeri Sembilan (38), Labuan (29) and Kuala Lumpur (23).

To date there are a cumulative total of 23,804 confirmed cases and 15,417 recoveries (including 486 discharged today) at 64.77% recovery rate.

Five more deaths were reported, taking the toll to 204.

There are currently 8,183 active cases, including 90 at ICUs, 29 requiring ventilators.
