Record 691 new cases, half in Kedah, 4 dead
PUTRAJAYA, Oct 6 (Sin Chew Daily) – A record of 691 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including three imported cases.
Almost half of the total, or 394 cases, were from the Tembok cluster in Kedah, while 219 cases from Sabah's red zones.
To date there are a cumulative total of 13,504 confirmed cases and 10,427 recoveries (including 87 discharged today) at 77.22% recovery rate.
Four new deaths have been reported today, three in Sabah and one in Penang, bringing the toll to 141.
There are currently 2,936 active cases, including 31 at ICUs, eight requiring ventilators.
