PUTRAJAYA, Aug 25 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 11 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including two imported cases.

Seven of the nine locally transmitted cases were from Kedah (including five from the Tawar cluster), and one case each in Selangor and Perlis, all Malaysian citizens.

To date there are a cumulative total of 9,285 confirmed cases and 8,971 recoveries (including six discharged today) at 96.62% recovery rate.

No new death has been reported.

There are currently 189 active cases, including eight at ICUs, six requiring ventilators.
