IPOH, July 18 (Sin Chew Daily) — Perak launched the first drive-in cinema in Malaysia on Friday. Watching movie inside the car becomes a new normal now!

Mooted by Perak Menteri Besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu, the country's first drive-in cinema near Meru Raya roundabout has been an initiative by Perak Corporation Berhad and Casuarina Hotel. Locals now get to watch movies at Casuarina Sini-Drive in open air. Drive-in cinemas used to be popular in the West.

By driving into the cinema compound, one parks according to the instruction of the organizer, and then tune in to the designated radio channel to listen through the car audio. Food is delivered to patrons via drive-through.

The police, firemen and Ipoh City Council staff were present to ensure patrons comply the standard operating procedures.
