PETALING JAYA, June 26 (Sin Chew Daily) – Sabah Umno chairman Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin said if a snap election is called, Umno will be contesting under the Barisan Nasional banner.

When contacted by Sin Chew Daily, he said Umno supports a snap election, as this will help stabilize the country's politics and will help attract more foreign investments.

He predicted that a snap election could be called either end of this year or early next year, adding that Umno has already prepared itself for the election.

Meanwhile, Umno leaders say the party has yet to sign the agreement to join Perikatan Nasional and is not prepared to do so.
