PUTRAJAYA, June 12 (Sin Chew Daily) – Director-general of health Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah announced 33 new COVID-19 cases in the country as of noon today, including 16 imported and 17 locally transmitted cases.

Of the 17 locally transmitted cases, three involve Malaysians and 14 non-Malaysians.

To date, there are a cumulative total of 8,402 confirmed cases and 7,168 recoveries (including 103 discharged today) at 85.31% recovery rate.

One new death has also been reported, taking the toll to 119.

There are currently 1,115 active cases, including four at ICUs.
