PUTRAJAYA, May 22 (Sin Chew Daily) – Director-general of health Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah announced 78 new COVID-19 cases in the country as of noon today.

Among the new cases, 25 were imported and 53 locally transmitted, including 20 at Bukit Jalil immigration depot.

One new death was also reported, taking the toll to 115.

To date, there are a cumulative total of 7,137 confirmed cases and 5,859 recoveries (including 63 discharged today) at 82.09%.

There are currently 1,163 active cases, including nine at ICUs, five requiring ventilators.
