PUTRAJAYA, May 14 (Sin Chew Daily) – Director-general of health Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah announced 40 new COVID-19 cases in the country as of noon today, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 6,819.

To date there are a cumulative total of 5,351 recovered cases—including 70 discharged today—at a recovery rate of 78.47%, and 112 deaths (one new today).

There are currently 1,356 active cases, including 16 being treated at ICUs and four requiring ventilators.
