PUTRAJAYA, May 6 (Sin Chew Daily) – Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah announced 45 new COVID-19 cases in the country as of noon today, taking the total number of positive cases to 6,428.

Only one of the new cases reported today has been imported, all others locally transmitted.

To date, there are a cumulative total of 4,702 recoveries (135 today) and 107 deaths (1 today).

22 cases are currently treated at ICUs, nine requiring ventilators.
