Putrajaya, Apr 28 (Sin Chew Daily) – Director-general of health Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah announced 31 new COVID-19 cases as of noon today, bringing the total number of positive cases to 5,851.

This is the 12th consecutive day with a double-digit number of daily new cases.

To date there are a cumulative total of 4,032 recoveries—including 75 discharged today—at a recovery rate of 68.91%.

Meanwhile, there is one new death reported today, taking the toll to 100, at 1.7% fatality rate.
