Putrajaya, Apr 23 (Sin Chew Daily) – Director-general of health Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah announced 71 new COVID-19 cases in the country as of noon today, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 5,603.

There are currently a cumulative total of 3,542 recoveries (including 90 today) and 95 deaths (two today).

There are now 1,966 active cases, of which 42 are treated at ICUs, 21 requiring ventilators.
