Putrajaya, Apr 20 (Sin Chew Daily) – Director-general of health Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah announced 36 new COVID-19 cases in the country as of noon today, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 5,425.

There are a cumulative total of 3,295 recoveries (including 98 today) with a recovery rate of 60.74%.

No new deaths have been reported today with the toll remaining at 89, or 1.65% of all cases.

Meanwhile, 45 cases are being treated at ICUs, 28 requiring ventilators.
