PUTRAJAYA, Mar 27 (Sin Chew Daily) — Director-general of health Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah announced an additional 130 COVID-19 cases as of noon today, taking the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 2,161.

There are three fatal cases reported today, including the one announced by Noor Hisham on Facebook earlier involving a 35-year-old man (Case 1,056), taking the toll to 26 at 1.1% fatality rate.

Meanwhile, 54 cases are currently treated at ICUs, of whom 34 requiring ventilators.

259 cases have been discharged so far, including 44 today.
