PUTRAJAYA, Mar 6 (Sin Chew Daily) — Health director-general Datuk Noor Hisham Abdullah announced that the country reported 28 new confirmed COVID-19 cases today, bringing the total number of cases to 83.

He also said Case 24 had been discharged.

Among the 83 cases reported so far, 65 are Malaysians, 15 are Chinese and three are of other nationalities.

Samples have been taken from 258 individuals having come into close contact with Case 26, of which 18 have tested positive, 70 negative and 170 others pending.
