PETALING JAYA: The Selangor state assembly will likely be dissolved a week earlier on June 18.

Selangor menteri besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari will very likely have an audience with Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah on June 18 to seek his consent to dissolve the state assembly before the Sultan travels overseas on June 20.

A source said Amirudin had earlier told the state assemblymen he might seek an audience with the Sultan on June 18.
